Are you ready to improve your health?
Chinese medicine is a physical and spiritual medicine.
The beauty of Chinese medicine lies in the fact that it views a person as a whole being, not just various symptoms. All of you is taken into consideration: your physical, emotional and spiritual self.
Many come for acupuncture seeking relief from an injury or chronic condition such as:
Pain (sciatica, neck, back, fibromyalgia, neuropathy)
Hormonal issues (fertility, PMS, perimenopause, menopause)
Sleep issues (insomnia, frequent waking, unsettling dreams/nightmares)
Digestive issues (constipation, diarrhea, slow digestion)
Respiratory issues (asthma, sinus problems)
You can also find relief from your emotional and spiritual pain, including:
Anxiety
Depression
Overthinking
Worrying about everyday life
Grief from the loss of someone or something important to you
Working with an acupuncturist is a partnership. When you commit to your health, by partnering with me, you will heal on many levels. In all honesty, acupuncture is not necessarily a quick fix. This process takes time, commitment, and patience as your body begins healing itself and adapts to becoming balanced.
The concept of self-care has become recognized as an important addition to one’s healthcare routine. While acupuncture is an excellent standalone medicine for some, it also complements many western medical treatments by helping one’s body improve its healing and functionality.
I will also make recommendations, as needed, to implement outside of the treatment room. This may include diet changes, lifestyle adjustments, and starting a meditation practice.
Many times, a person comes for one issue and finds another chronic issue is resolved, or greatly improved. For example, one may come for low back pain but finds their insomnia also resolves. That is a perfect example of the body coming into alignment!
Along with acupuncture, I offer a variety of complementary modalities:
Auricular acupuncture – also known as ear acupuncture
Cupping - a technique that releases myofascial tissue and tight muscles
Gua sha - another technique that releases myofascial tissue and tight muscles
Moxibustion – a form of herbal heat therapy
Guidance on beginning, or further developing, a meditation practice
Reiki – a form of energy therapy
Healing stones and oils
End-of-Life/hospice acupuncture and reiki care
Rates:
Cash, checks, and bank/credit cards (including HSA cards) are accepted for payment.
Initial 90-120 minute intake:
$165
An extensive intake is done to evaluate your main complaint, overall health, and emotional wellness. While many practices ask you to fill out a general paper intake and check off boxes, I prefer to discuss your concerns with you.
I offer two options:
1) In-person intake and first treatment;
2) Zoom intake, and then first acupuncture treatment at another time. This option is great for people with time constraints. The Zoom intake portion can take anywhere from 45-90 minutes depending on one’s health history. and the first
in-person treatment about 60 minutes.
60-minute follow-up appointments:
$90
A 60 minute appointment that includes a follow-up conversation to check-in on how you’re doing, and a treatment. The treatment will include acupuncture and any other needed modalities.
Pediatric (age 17 and below) appointments:
$65
(half hour/younger children)
$90
(one hour appointments for older pediatric patients receiving the same treatment care as adults)
Pediatric appointments are adjusted to fit the age of the patient. Depending on the age of the child/teenager I obviously do the intake with a parent/guardian. Many teenagers feel more comfortable speaking with me directly. For anyone under the age of 18 I will need parental consent. Younger children respond quickly to the treatment itself, and that is why it is only 30 minutes.
I do not accept insurance, but am able to supply a “Super Bill” for you to submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement of your treatment. Please note that Blue Willow Acupuncture is in no way responsible for what your insurance provider may reimburse you for treatment. Reimbursement rates vary and are sometimes lower than my rates. Blue Willow Acupuncture is not contracted with any insurance providers and is not responsible for refunding the difference between my rate and what rate the insurance company may reimburse you at.
